New York Times Reports on the U.S. Horse Market

Yesterday, The New York Times‘ website featured an article on the current state of the horse market.  Although the examples cited were from the hunter-jumper industry, the general trends seem to be in line with all equine markets.

Equestrians featured in the article state that, while prices for the top horses have remained competitive, the value of the average horse has dropped tremendously. You can read the entire article here.  A similar version also appeared in today’s print edition of the NY Times.
